Big Foot Moving & Storage, Inc. was built with a simple idea — that moving services should be reliable, respectful, and seamless. Over the years, we’ve grown to meet the evolving needs of our residential and commercial clients, adding new services like climate-controlled storage, packing and unpacking, kitchen cabinet receivership, white glove delivery services, truck rental services, and roll-off dumpster services to better support every stage of a move or renovation.
Our journey began with our founder and President, Mike Bavuso, whose passion for service and strong work ethic laid the foundation for everything we do. While earning his degree at Boston University nearly 30 years ago, Mike worked as a professional mover — a hands-on experience that sparked his deep appreciation for the moving industry. After graduation, he pursued a full-time career in sales and marketing at a Boston-based market research firm, but never strayed far from his roots. In his spare time, he continued helping people relocate apartments, homes, and small businesses, focusing on one customer at a time and always delivering a level of service that led to enthusiastic word-of-mouth referrals.
Driven by a desire to control his own destiny — and armed with nothing but hard work, strong relationships, and a solid reputation — Mike officially launched Big Foot Moving & Storage, Inc. in 2001. The company grew organically, one move at a time, fueled by word-of-mouth referrals, long hours, loyal clients, and a commitment to treating people right. That same customer-first mindset remains at the heart of everything we do today.
